Bristol Balloon Festival.

A world centre for ballooning, Bristol has become home to Europe's largest hot air balloon festival, the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta. Founded 29 years ago, the Fiesta has a fascinating history. It all began back in 1978 when Don Cameron, owner of the world's largest balloon manufacturer, Cameron Balloons, decided to create an event that would draw together balloonists from around the world.

Ashton Court Festival.

The Ashton Court Festival is an outdoors music festival held annually in the grounds of Ashton Court, just outside Bristol, England, in mid-July. It is a weekend event which features a variety of local bands and national headliners. As it is mainly aimed at local residents, the festival is not widely promoted, nor are there overnight camping facilities.

EDF Energy Bristol Harbour Festival.

Bristol's liveliest and largest Harbourside event features a wide range of entertainment both on and off the water, including music stages, a dance stage, street theatre and water displays, all taking place before a backdrop of hundreds of colourful vessels in the floating harbour throughout the weekend.

St Pauls Carnival.

The Carnival is a glittering pageant of costumes, cultures and Mas/Floats, each reflecting powerful cultural traditions from around the world. It attracts an average of 40,000 people each year and has grown to become nationally recognised. The Carnival is a great day out for people of all generations and a major West Country attraction.
